Cognizant signed a $550 million term loan with JPMorgan as agent

Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation entered a new credit agreement on October 5, 2026, with JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. as administrative agent, providing for a $550 million term loan facility and a revolving credit facility. For an owner or a lender planning a loan, this is the lending event of the week that says the most, because it shows a large services company signing a term loan with a named agent.

Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation, as borrower, and Cognizant Worldwide Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary named as designated borrower, entered the agreement with certain financial institutions and JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. as administrative agent sec.gov. The agreement provides for a term loan facility of $550 million and a revolving credit facility. The filing does not state what the facilities are for.

Consensus Cloud Solutions, Inc. entered an amended and restated credit agreement on September 30, 2026, with certain lenders and U.S. Bank National Association as agent sec.gov. The lenders provided a senior secured revolving credit facility of $225.0 million, and the agreement amends and restates the company's existing credit agreement dated July 9, 2025.

DocGo Inc. reported that Hicuity and Ambulnz, as borrowers, together with DocGo and certain subsidiaries of Ambulnz as guarantors, entered an amended and restated credit agreement and guaranty on October 1, 2026, with lenders and Perceptive Credit Holdings IV, LP as administrative agent sec.gov. The agreement amends and restates the credit agreement and guaranty of Hicuity dated December 6, 2022.

Number of the week. Commercial and industrial loans at all U.S. commercial banks stood at $2,952.9 billion in the week ending 23 September 2026, according to the Federal Reserve Board (H.8 release). That is down $2.3 billion from the week ending 16 September 2026 and up $260.8 billion from the week ending 24 September 2025.

The number of the week is the broad backdrop for these three documents. The series counts commercial and industrial loans at all U.S. commercial banks, and the Federal Reserve Board publishes it each week in its H.8 release. The three filings show the wider business credit market in the same week, from a $550 million term loan to two amended and restated revolving facilities, signed while the total of commercial and industrial loans dipped $2.3 billion.

What these loans show is that lenders are funding services firms where software is taking on more of the work customers pay for, and they are doing it with revolving credit and term loans. Cognizant is a technology services company, Consensus Cloud Solutions runs digital document and cloud services, and DocGo runs mobile health services through Ambulnz. Each borrowed through a named agent, JPMorgan Chase Bank, U.S. Bank National Association and Perceptive Credit Holdings IV, and the facilities are revolving credit and term loans, the structure lenders use to fund the firms doing the work as software takes on more of it.

What to watch next is the following H.8 release, which covers a week ending on a Wednesday and arrives on the Federal Reserve Board's weekly schedule. The question is whether the total of commercial and industrial loans resumes its climb after the one-week dip, and whether the gap over a year earlier, which stood at $260.8 billion, keeps widening or begins to close.
