Valor Energy acquires a Youngstown computing center project
Valor Energy Inc agreed to acquire 100% of the equity of Glorious Star LLC, an Ohio limited liability company that holds a computing center project in Youngstown, Ohio, and separately agreed to sell up to 2,145,923 shares of common stock at $2.33 per share for about $5,000,000 in gross proceeds. For a lender or an owner selling into data centers and power, the two filings show a small public company paying for a computing center site with newly issued equity while the MISO interconnection queue behind it stays crowded.
Tracker. The MISO interconnection queue, read on 26 October 2026, lists 1,184 active requests totaling 265,460 MW. Requests entered in the last 30 days: 0, totaling 0 MW; in the last 90 days: 160, totaling 50,627 MW. Projects under construction after signing an interconnection agreement: 128, totaling 20,285 MW. The largest active fuel types by capacity: not stated (85,285 MW), solar (61,886 MW), battery storage (44,165 MW).
Valor Energy Inc reported in an 8-K that on 18 October 2026 it entered into the Youngstown Computing Center Equity Transfer Agreement, dated 17 October 2026, with Glorious Star LLC, the seller and target company sec.gov. Under the agreement Valor Energy agreed to acquire 100% of the outstanding equity interests of Glorious Star LLC, which holds interests in a computing center project at 1911 Logan Avenue in Youngstown, Mahoning County, Ohio, including approximately 30,888 square feet.
In a second 8-K, Valor Energy Inc reported that on 19 October 2026 it entered into a securities purchase agreement with certain purchasers to sell up to 2,145,923 shares of common stock, par value $0.0001 per share, at a purchase price of $2.33 per share sec.gov. The aggregate gross proceeds, if all shares are sold, will be approximately $5,000,000, and each investor represented that it is an accredited investor.
The queue numbers and the Valor Energy filings together show the physical build-out behind compute moving through a slow gate. MISO lists 1,184 active requests totaling 265,460 MW, and only 128 projects totaling 20,285 MW have reached construction after signing an interconnection agreement. Valor Energy's agreement to buy Glorious Star LLC's Youngstown computing center project, and its agreement to sell up to 2,145,923 shares for about $5,000,000, show a small company buying a place in that line and raising equity to carry the project while it waits for power.
Watch whether Valor Energy closes the Youngstown acquisition and completes the share sale, and whether the MISO queue's 90-day inflow of 160 requests totaling 50,627 MW keeps growing. Data I/O Corporation completed its acquisition of V-TEK, Inc. and A&J Programming, Inc., makers of semiconductor handling automation for test and packaging sec.gov, a reminder that the build-out behind compute reaches back into chip packaging equipment.
